Presidents Corner

Hi, I'm James Kent, AIM National President. Each Quarter I will share news about the organization and the leaderships vision .

As an organization we have many goals for 2022. The leadership will be continuing to share this vision for the future at the 53rd Annual ABMTS, which will be Virtual this year.

A Word from your President - January 2022

Hello AIM Family,

As we deal with the government shut down, I pray that we are mindful of who we serve, how powerful and awesome he is and remember this too shall pass.  My heart goes out to each and every one of you that are experiencing financial hardships as a result of the shutdown.  I hope that this ends soon for us all.

It is hard for us that are still in the workforce and not receiving pay and even harder for those of us that continue to physically work, knowing our paychecks are on hold until the shutdown is over.  Many of us live from one payday to the next and are struggling to help ourselves, leaving little to nothing to help others. We may not have a check in the bank, but what we do have is love and compassion that we can share with one another. We must keep each other lifted up during this difficult time by lending a listening ear, provide encouraging words and even share a meal if we have extra.

To assist us financially many of the Credit Unions are offering special loan programs for their members with zero percent interest. I strongly suggest you check into this if you are unable to make it until this is over.

Our current situation had me seriously thinking about the election process and how important it is for us to have our voices heard by voting. We all have family members and friends that are 18 and over, some of which are not registered voters or are registered and just don’t vote. We need to start now encouraging them to be a part of future elections and let our voices be heard.  If I could change our current state, I would in a heartbeat.  Hold on AIM family, this will soon be over and when it is, we all will be able to rejoice.

Much Love and God Bless!

James Kent

National President
