Steven Harris is currently the Business Compliance Management Systems Branch Chief within Information Technology (IT) Application Development.  He has served as a Branch Chief in several branches within the Compliance Domain. That has given him the unique perspective of understanding the operations of a large number of projects in the Compliance Domain.  He has been with the IRS since 1984.  He has worked in various capacities in the IRS which includes IT, AWSS, Examinations, and Collections.

Steven is currently the National President of the Association for the Improvement of Minorities in the IRS (AIM-IRS). He has served in many leadership positions within AIM-IRS. His which includes serving as the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area Chapter President, Southwest Region (SWR) Regional Representative, SWR Regional Vice President, and National Senior Vice President.

Steven also serves in various capacities at Pearly Gate Baptist Church. He serves on the Executive Board, Choir, and the church Board of Directors.

He graduated Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.  He also holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Dallas Baptist University and a master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.  He's a self-proclaim foodie that takes every opportunity to try out the highly regarded BBQ spots. He and his wife have 3 children and 11 grandchildren.
